Chrome metropolis messenger bag for travel?

I have heard and seen a few people use these before but have never used one myself they are waterproof and supposedly "life proof" any thoughts on them for urban travels?

Only thing I can think of is that messenger bags suck when it comes to weight distribution. Sure they look nifty but all that weight on one shoulder? Eck.

i tried this once. the bag i had was the chrome 'kremlin' i think. it was huge, which is great for messin' but not for traveling. once you start carrying that much crap on one shoulder, it really starts to hurt. i think i lasted about a week before i traded it for a real hiking pack.
