The trailer is light enough to be towed by a bicycle, but I better leave it empty if I want to make it up the slightest grade.

I need something small like this, that my Sportage can tow.

That's the only problem I've run into...my KIA is a kick ass four wheel drive and rough, but it's not made for pulling.

"tear drop" trailers were designed to be pulled by any kind of lightweight motor vehicle. (originally). If you search for "ultra light weight tear drop" a bunch of cool stuff comes up.
