daamn and now if you look at trumps facebook he's saying they should remove federal funding from berkeley. all his little supporters are lapping it up.

i disagree, while protest won't change the world, it's an important part of the process of creating social change.

what's it going to do. best case scenario?

repubes voted out in midterms? maybe senate at best, house is locked down. maybe they lose white house in 2020 only to turn right around and get it back. rinse and repeat.

what are these kids going to do in the next 10-15 years? They either work at a corporation (making money for those they protest), buss tables (making money for those they protest), maybe start an utterly useless production business (becoming those they protest).

Or they will start off grid communities, giving them and future generations the chance to live without supporting a system which needs to die.

but I'd venture vast majority at any college is looking for the middle class life. I mean it's in the brochure.

Their was some right-wing comedian I think, not sure that might have been the protest at a NY university if I remember right. I've been watching the fox news coverage, the anchors are goofy as ever waving the victim card, "the anarchists have no agenda, THEY'RE ANARCHISTS!" was the quote of the evening. Along with referring to all protesters as kids. (Including professors and the many obviously over 40 on their own video coverage)

I do agree though, most people going to college will be in it for job/life security. Still, I think even if they retreat into a Lysol commercial later in their lives, at least they helped remind the world that people can take charge and be heard.

I think it's very important to show the world, that people are actually capable of throwing a fit. With the institutionalization of minors - all the way through early adulthood, some might forget how to throw a fit, or throw anything for that matter. In my opinion it's good to protest, doesn't really matter which cause. subject or view your protesting for or against, the fact is that if you don't stand up, you'll just be sitting down.
 
Pulled up a section of the transcript from Milo whateverthatfucks last appearence in Cal Poly. Here's what he got to say:
