Bar Harbor, ME

the kids in portland suck. there arent really any traveler kids at all there right now, [theyre here in summer] but mostly douchey hipsters who might give you a place to stay. there are nice kids on coyle st and on poland st. maybe they would let you stay there. but in portland there are homebums, if you make friends with them they might let you sleep at their squat.nothing in bar harbor. nothing in maine, really. Honestly i would reccomend leaving asap.
 
yes, I am in Maine, Portland specifically. I'm new here, like right now. Unlike circlepantz, I happen to like Maine, love Bar Harbor but I can't afford to live there. So, I'm kind of stuck in Portland. But, that's ok. Don't really mind.

I just made my way out of Portland. There's definitely an epidemic of white suburban hipsters from Westbrook who think it's cool to call their friends, "nigga".
Handy tip: The Portland bus system can take ya out to Falmouth for only $1.50, if you're having a hard time catching a ride. Falmouth is still part of the greater Portland area, but it is way easier to get out of.
