The adventure continues. I was in Slab City then spent the winter traveling around Southern California. Worked for a place to stay for about a month then got a bike rode it to San Diego county where it fell apart. Hitchhiked to National City Cal and hanged out with some friends. Then from there...

I have met plenty of women who have hitchhiked alone and nothing bad happen to them. But you must use common scence if you get a bad feeling or if someone says the wrong thing don't get in the car. I do this and I am a man. So be safe out there.
Here is my experience most of the people I have met while hitchhiking have made sure I had food or water and will give money the most I have been given is $140. I have even had people put me up for the night in their house. A motel owner let me stay for free. I could go on all day about this but...
I hitchhike and sometimes have to deal with the police so far they have always treated me with respect but I wonder what if I were black would I have to worry about being beaten or worse shot. Now there's something to think about.
I was here last year and am in Slab City now. Slab City does have tweekers but I have had no problems. So don't be afraid to come here. As far as the stp folk they are cool. Looking forward to seeing the ones I met last year and the ones I havn't met
