    Roof Top Tents

I saw this in whitehorse once which i thought was ridiculous. The best part of having a roof top tent is being able to go off roading and find a beautiful place to camp and be off the ground away from scary animals. They are awesome!

Started the new year with doing something spontaneous

Nothing like a broken ankle to make me check squat the planet for the first time in a long time. Heres a story from Canada friends Our spontaneous new year adventure hadnt quite gone as planned, not that we had planned our trip at all. We drove far, crossed the province into Alberta, saw some...

You don't need shit, a change in mentality

Having a sign or not, a geared up bicycle is a statement to those who chose to live a very different life compared to the ones on this forum. Having a sign like that just helps you not having to repeat yourself to every single person who inquires. From my experience as well, traveling by bicycle...

The bike is never put away for good. I have no plans on doing any BICYCLE touring anytime soon, my focus has now grown onto SKI touring. Back in the day I redistributed food I found in the dumpster so I don't think I meant it as tongue in cheek. Have fun out there

    Settled down in the North

I have a fixed address for the first time in my adult life. It's a funny address as I cannot receive mail or anything like that so what really is the point... I live 150 km from the nearest town of Stewart BC (pop 500 people) on the border of Hyder, Alaska, and 400 km to the nearest civilization...

    Photos Into the Wind

Well I rode this 650km from my front door taking the back way to Vancouver last autumn just before I moved to Northern BC. It was just a week trip and it got extremely challenging on Hwy 99 - Duffey Lake Road into Whistler but the colors were phenomenal. Here's some photos.

Benefits of travelling by bike rather than walking?

LESS FOOT ROT you are usually percieved as an athlete and less of a bum but still a bum sometimes.

" From trying to plant trees in northern BC, to living with 6 boys in hometown and working on a farm (20km bicycle commute each way) here in the fraser valley, these are some of the highlights of my summer. Looking at memory porn is always something I like to do before moving on to the next...

Help me decide wtf to do with my life

I feel similar to this at the moment too, and i like your #4 idea the best for obvious reasons... Il always remember last september when i biked into the slabs, the small duration of my time there my cheeks hurt incredibly from smiling so hard, as hot as it was there i felt extremely at peace...

Bike touring and safely storing bike in populated areas?

Last year the brand new bicycle I just bought to tour with got stolen two weeks after I purchased it right outside my work, where there were multiple security guards patrolling the area being it was downtown Chilliwack at Pricesmart. They all knew me, and my bicycle was wrapped in rainbow duct...

Bike touring and safely storing bike in populated areas?

I kept a day pack with all my valuables bungee'd to the top of all my gear so that when i locked my bike (PREFERABLY in a populated busy street area near a cafe window or something ) i could just take my little backpack and was free to walk around. No ones gonna take your dirty ass camping gear...

Photos 4500km with a monkey named Evie

HAHAHAHHA ( 1.7 km is 1 mile ) For me the main goal of traveling is for the people and about the people, not to be a drunk slump on the curb. This world works on a give and take system (simply a smile can do) and that's what makes it go round and round and round.
