Where do you like to sleep?

What's the risk of catching a trespassing charge in places like this? I love to travel but finding a place where I feel safe is the hardest thing about it for me. I'm basically a ball of nerves and over worry.

Ramblings of a confused housed up person or something

Something pulls me out there. Ever since I was a kid I wanted to do something "Across America." It was drive, walk, push a longboard.. now its back to walking. My first hitch hiking adventure from Ga, to the Ocala national forests, all the way to the big flats of Okie was an alternative to...

How do I begin to plan my route?

First time I went traveling I had this huge plan laid out and it immediately went to shit after I made some friends and went north for a while instead of west. I would just get some maps for the first leg and plan point to point. The plan will always be changing.

Is the Greyhound still pretty laid back?

Atlanta will sometimes have people walking around checking bags. Salt Lake City, Utah is the only city I've been through that makes everyone line up and checks every single bag. Arizona, and it seems like anywhere close to the Mexican border, will have these random searches from Border patrol...

how bad of an idea would a cadillac hearse be?

its 1991 Cadillac Brougham Hearse, 103,000 miles for like 3k. Thinking of getting it and turning it into a camper. Thing is i dont know much about cars. Would this just be a really dumb idea? Do cadillacs hold up well over long distance?

    Unsure of some stuff

if yer 18-25 years old you could try a conservation corp that offers housing. Go work in the woods for a season, save all yer cash and then travel back home by whatever means suites yer fancy. Might let you test the waters without having to totally jump ship. The California Conservation Corps...

Depression Steals Your Soul and Then it Takes Your Friends

im struggling with all of this now. you're right about empathy being finite. Took a while to learn but friends are not therapists. As you said, the most loving person can be worn down. Currently i dont have the resources to get medical help, so i keep it in, and try to manage it on my own...

Is there anywhere wild left in america?

Photos Favorite place on Earth, so far?

How to get over a broken heart.

probably corny, but if you can, make something with it. write a song or several, poetry, or anything really. I feel like if you can face something down and wrestle with it till you create some you get power over it and it becomes easier to deal with.

    Looking to go West. Recommendations?

While Arkansas is a pretty dumpy state the northwest part up around jasper is really pretty. The copper beech trees in the fall are beautiful and the buffalo river is amazing as well. Hawks beak crag is a POI and not a bad hike. Might be a spot to check out as you move further west. I'm also...
