The oldest fairy tale known to date

Well yeah, that’s why I don’t agree with Christianity. Most of the historical records wouldn’t line up with the Bible, because contrary to what Sunday school taught me, the people of the Old Testament were a completely different group than the New Testament. The Old Testament was about the...

The oldest fairy tale known to date

Well I'm not Christian, but I believe in the Bible for sure. I believe in the God of the Old Testament and terms of the Old Covenant over the New Covenant. When I read the Bible, I personally didn't think Jesus was perfect. In fact, he was more arrogant than any of the prophets who performed...

The oldest fairy tale known to date

I’m similar to you though I don’t consider myself pagan. However, I don’t fully agree with the superiority, but a large part of me still agrees. I believe God wants His followers to be humble and not have the superiority complex. I believe a lot of religions do it in response to Christianity...

The oldest fairy tale known to date

I’m just gonna say if you read the Bible from front to back, then your opinion would change. Doesn’t mean you’ll agree with Christianity, but the Bible predicts a lot of the negative stuff going on in our society today. Some is directly stated, some is through symbolism. We’re all entitled to...

My 4 month long road trip comes to an end in tucson, az

speaking of flaws in the American system... I learned in school that you can supposedly get your car out of tow yards for free if you threaten to call the police for theft. I only know of one person to do it like 8 years ago, and she was pretty hot, so I don't know if it's true or not...

An Introduction about Myself, looking for others who are similar.

I feel it man. No one understands us, because what the world considers schizophrenic, most of us consider to be a spiritual thing from letting go of everything in this world. I found my understanding through the Old Testament(Proverbs specifically). God will guide us to do all sorts of stuff...

An Introduction about Myself, looking for others who are similar.

Yeah, they just diagnose you as schizophrenic and give you pills. I said fuck that myself. We’re all a little delusional anyways. What’s one person’s crazy from the next?

And you guys should go easy on him. I have the same thing, and it can be difficult for me to distinguish reality from fantasy sometimes.

An Introduction about Myself, looking for others who are similar.

Hey I’ve read two translations of the Bible, and I’m working on another. However, I do believe God judges everyone, so we don’t have to. I found Matthew and Proverbs to be my favorite books. I believe the New Covenant ended sometime in the past 10-15 years.

    Anywhere but here...

Dude I feel the struggle. I went to the slabs for like 10 days then came back, but I’m thinking about going back already.

    Hello! I’m Pokebert

Welcome, I'm a Bible person myself. I prefer the Old Testament over the new any day though. You should try reading Proverbs and Matthew if you really want a societal revolution. I don't know, I just felt as though Matthew and John had two completely different messages and tones for the reader...

    in rehab, need friends

Probably not worth trying to get away with stuff in rehab. I always feel as though places like this should go without the negative energy. They're always so welcoming and open armed to new people. I feel the struggle, I've been isolating for over a year now, but I've come to enjoy it more than...

    Considering the nomad lifestyle

Thanks, I made sure to grab a few books from my parents for the library too. You guys have all been so welcoming. Im just about packed up now and leaving in the morning. It’s customer appreciation day at the dispensary tomorrow, so one stop, and I’m off to the slabs. Giving up what my parents...

    Alcoholics Anonymous

I truly believe 12 step programs are wonderful places for people to go. I just know for myself and potentially a few others, it had some unnecessary pieces to the puzzle while missing a few others. I spent two years clean about 7 years ago. I’ve seen people leave and do better, but I’ve also...

    Considering the nomad lifestyle

That made my back tingle a little bit lol. I'm a little excited for this journey. I wanna meet a lot of people on here, and I wanna see that other side of people. Maybe people are better when their friends aren't around. That's the thing that bugs me most about society. It seems the only way up...

    Considering the nomad lifestyle

Nice, I should be heading out tomorrow. Hopefully, I make it before sun down. I have errands I can't run until my car is back in my name which my parents want to handle in the morning, so we shall see. I don't really wanna be on the road Saturday.

    Considering the nomad lifestyle

I'm sorry to hear that. It's unfortunate. It's hard to tell who's right and who's wrong in this world. I'll leave that up to God at a time like this. I mean what really makes someone a loser? Our entire society could be filled with losers, and we could be the winners in God's Eyes. However, none...

    Alcoholics Anonymous

I was in recovery for two years, and I learned a lot about life in it, but it's only temporary in my eyes. The whole happy thing they talked about only appeared to last a year to a year and a half, and I found it to be fairly common to see the most dedicated relapse after a year and a half to...

    How does one forgive himself?

I don't know, I went a little crazy after a breakup which really stepped up my spirituality afterwards. However, I'm not going to give you annoying advice on that topic, but I will leave you with a link to a verse if you care to click it. https://biblehub.com/proverbs/21-19.htm I don't know...

Amen to that brotha. I revolve more around the Old Testament of the Bible these days in my spirituality, but you'd be surprised at how similar AA can be if looked at in the right light.

    Considering the nomad lifestyle

Thanks, I've been doing a lot of reading, and it's only 4 hours away from my parent's house who would literally rather pay part of my rent somewhere else than have me do this. I also still have my car which should be good for shelter, but I can't just drive all over the place, or I'll run out of...

    Considering the nomad lifestyle

I'm not in it for the traveling to be honest. I'm just in it to get away from the brainwash of society. I turned down a cruise to Alaska with my parents and brother last June. However, if I came across some people who wanted me to join them on a road trip somewhere, I'd be in. I'm thinking I'm...

    Considering the nomad lifestyle

Well I'm considering this life on the road for my first time. Grew up to a fairly well off family, but it's not easy living under their roof. I have a college degree, and I still just couldn't seem to make it in the real world. I sold drugs for a couple years, and I made a ton of money, but I...
