    Collapsable walking stick

    Does anyone have any info/suggestions/experience in making a folding/collapsable walking stick/staff? I was thinking of maybe getting a nice wood stick and cutting it into 3 or 4 pieces and using metal threading to re-attach them for a more portable stick. Think it would hold up?
