Hitting the road again today! Heading down to Auckland NZ. Not sure what my plans for the short term are but going to head to Aussie in about a month. Might stop by Fiji before aus, not really sure yet. Fucking ecstatic to get back on the move. Just packing and reevaluating my kit right now. Leaving in about 6ish hours.
Back into farm work, hand planting courgettes/zucchinis. Should be doing this for a few weeks then planting sweet potatoes for maybe a month. After that back to Fiji for maybe 2 weeks to catch up with friends then I plan to head back home in NZ for another 2 weeks. Then I possibly might head to Australia to earn some solid money working and saving before Canada next year!
Back from Fiji a couple days ago! Returned to the Far North of New Zealand and living on the farm I'll be working at instead of in a Hostel! Made some awesome friends and planning another trip back to Fiji to meet up with them very soon! I would write a bigger post but its so annoying to do on a phone. Many stories yet to come!
Been a while since I've been around. Still living in a hostel, working and saving! Doing Mandarin picking right now. Also, Im in the pools for a Working Holiday visa in Canada. IM COMING FOR YALL NORTH AMERICA! SEE YOU IN JUNE 2020
Little update on my life so far. Currently living in a backpackers in the far north of NZ working in the Kumara (sweet potato harvest). Should be here a around 4 months. Come september I'll be making my way south. Exploring and hitching New Zealand. Then about this time next year. I will be heading to Canada for 23 Months! On a working Holiday Visa, working and exploring Canada and the States so I will have plenty of opportunity to meet as many of you guys as possible! Lifes good!
Been out and about for 3 and a half days. Currently about 8 hours away from home and two-thirds of the way to my final destination for the winter. Life on the road has been treating me well.
2 days till departure. Finishing tidying up today. Didn't sell everything I wanted to so will try again when i stop by home in the spring. Getting nervously excited.
Looks like my departure is pencilled for the 29th of April. Later then I wanted but still gives me a week of hitching to get to a place to work for the winter and a bit more time to pack and sell stuff.
Top Tip: Join your local rail fans FB group and lurk there. They like to post photos and videos around good places that make potential catchouts. Don't give away your intentions though!
Just applied for a job over 1100km from my home. Hopefully I get it so I can cement my leaving date to get out of home, hitch there, work for the winter then get out and explore during spring and summer.
