Seriously considering going down to Florida for the work. A month or so there could set me off for the next 6 months, easy. Anyone else going that way?
Anyone considered going to Florida for some relief work? The money seems almost too good to pass up.

2 solid weeks. . .then I can hit the road. Buckle down. Proper preparation prevents poor performance.
Seems like a lot of folks are going through that grueling final stretch of days before we're all back out on the road. I, too, have been feeling it something fierce. Stay strong, the time is coming. Stay safe, stay aware, stay wild!

At this point, I'm about ready to just start walking down the road. I just need to go anywhere for the next 3 weeks.
Could literally grab my pack and walk out the door going anywhere RIGHT NOW. . .and yet, here I sit. I know better than this.
whipped up a batch of stem/trim shine that'll have you happier than a puppy with two peckers
so i bought the ticket, took the ride. didn't matter the place or time. even destination aside; i found all my happiness just enjoying the ride.
as the rain beats down, and i wrap up this last day spending time with my son (until his bday next month), my mind wanders to the road, its mysteries, and all its travelers. i'll be back out there in a matter of days, ready for a few weeks of hard adventuring. a short week break around Halloween, then with any luck out to Slabs in November.
