  • I hope all the repairs on my van are as easy as replacing the door handle was (pulling the old one off and popping the new one on no tools required)

    Van life is a series of replacing parts. Doing the same myself.
    Back on here! Summer was a pain in the ass, but I got to drive 1000 miles down to FL in September and see some friends.
    New tires! And a new tailpipe and muffler. And with that my checklist of repairs is complete!

    Not sure who Mark is.
    But my truck is just about ready to go! Just needs some tires and a locking handle.
    Fixing the truck took all winter but it saved me $1000+ so I won as far as I'm concerned.
    Reaching my limit so I'm gonna try and split before I lose my mind. Hoping I'll be on my way before it snows.
    You know what's not fun? Being held back by a very very expensive but very very necessary truck repair.
    Getting my truck back today. Brakes are fine (hooray) and doors will be fixed! That takes care of that safety hazard.
    Truck repairs start next Monday. Doors are getting fixed and brakes checked which takes care of most of the cheaper repairs.
    Planning on leaving IL for the warmer weather in Jax Beach, FL early next year if nothing else comes up...
    Even though my job is minimum wage and part time I should have my truck repairs finished by the end of the year.
    Taking a break from school this fall to work and get some money for truck repairs. Here's hoping someone will actually hire me...
    After finally declaring that I was sick of searching for trucks I stumbled upon a nice Silverado and well now it's in my driveway...
    Checking out a truck on Wednesday. Pretty amazed that this is actually happening.
