I think the best way to sum myself up is to say that I'm curious. I like to learn new things and play with ideas. I love meeting new people and hearing their stories.
Right now, I have a job I like and so I'm not able to travel. However, I do have a pretty big apartment and would love to have people come to visit! My home is vegan-friendly, clean and your pets are welcome. There's also a stash of art/craft stuff if you care to make things. If I'm honest about it, the crafting is the real reason I don't travel- when I'm separated from my tools I feel like I've missing a part of myself! I get cranky when I can't create.
Things that seem important to other people:
I like music. Punk rock, old school metal, folk punk, rockabilly and swing. Some country too. I love live music and wish I played well enough to jam with people. Some day...
I'm on a plant-based diet. I can't call myself vegan because I do use some animal products. (You will never convince me that shearing sheep is wrong. I know shepherds that are nicer to their flock than their families!)
I'm a feminist. Ani DiFranco once said "You are either a feminist or you are a misogynist. There is no box marked Other." I agree. Gender is a bunch of made-up crap designed to support an unfair and exploitative power structure. I don't give a damn what you've got inside your clothes or what sorts of bits you prefer to rub together if you care for that at all. I care what's in your heart and your head.
