Rosegarden

Bit of an unusual specimen as I am on the Autism spectrum, spent the last 10 years planning an escape from conventional society and life, soon to be realized as I ride away from all that is familiar, beginning a new journey and hence a new life in a new year.

I may come off as antisocial, usually its anxiety and/or simply not feeling like I fit in. Often I struggle to have conversations that are unrelated to topics I find interesting (and hence research heavily), usually caring less about politics or the news in general. I am profoundly ignorant of most mainstream cultural trends, fads, slang and other elements of such nature, essentially living under a rock in the sense of social exposure.

For the most part I am intolerant of racism, sexism, homophobia, shaming, misogyny and so on, but I tend to simply walk away rather than voice my opinions to offenders as I feel it to be a waste of my time otherwise. The same goes for defending myself or others against verbal instigation such as talking shit or verbally attacking. Retaliation whether physical or verbal is not a solution, and sticking around to be a part of it only opens the door for further pain and anger. This is not a lack of compassion or love of friends, it is a response based on logic and without emotional bias. Many of my behaviors are like this, and I try to make this known to those around me when it seems relevant.

Taste in music is a mixed bag consisting of classical, jazz, 90s grunge, many subgenres of rock and other alternatives from the likes of Universal Hippies, Mono, Hammock, My Sleeping Karma to name a few. Strongly dislike rap, hip-hop, pop and similar music, it puts me in a foul mood but I tend to keep quiet about it.

Photography and drawing are two hobbies that occasionally resurface, and I am always thinking, coming up with crazy ideas for computers, vehicles, telescopes, typically rather advanced devices and machines of multi-use nature.

If you got this far, bonus bit of useless info: I can ride a unicycle for miles continuously, used to be a regular thing for me.
