Finally settled in the Southwest USA, photographing the beautiful places, hiking the Gila, camping, exploring, art, history, ancient cultures, woodcarving, natural history, native plants, wildlife watching, reading books, and my two cats are some of the things I enjoy. I bought a home last year, first one ever, and now I do homeowner stuff like garden and paint things when I'm not doing other things.
I grew up in TX, and have lived and worked all over the country, mainly in the western states. I have a few stories, some are even good.
New Mexico is a vastly underrated state with mountains, forests and deserts that constantly amaze me in their wild beauty. The Gila is huge, remote with fascinating history. I cannot imagine living in a better place. Plus there's almost no crime.
Visitors are welcome almost any time. Life is slow here and nature is all around. I'm a pretty good tour guide if you want to go exploring.
