So what we're doing is kind of confusing! My fiancee and I are really into emergency preparedness/wilderness survival, so it is very important to us that we learn and practice these skills regularly. We would also like to take an extended camping trip (too soon to tell but my best guess is 1 year) after I graduate with my BA in 2015 so we definitely need survival to be second nature for us.

A long-term goal we have is sustainable living. While my main motivation is to get closer to nature, my darling fiancee is ready to stop giving the system our money. We both want to do everything on our own (garden, hunt, sew, you name it) and will be building our home ourselves. We are semi-minimalists so the house will be pretty small, but it will also be off-the-grid.

I'm on here picking up knowledge and skills to help my fiance and I with our dreams =]
