And ya know, correct me if i am wrong, but is there a sort of feeling of 'theraputic calmness' that comes with hand sewing. I mean not only do you finally have THAT spot ocvered or repaired or embelished, but there is that calm of accomplishment too.

I got lucky, my mom was a sewer since before I was born. I only recently learned how to use a machine, but still prefer the long harder work of doing it by hand. I am currently tryign to do at least 1 whole piece towards the ones for this springs gig htat Ravie is hosting. Hope the tag patch with your name on it turned out like you were hopein, and yeah, don't fuck off posting a pic of them on your gear in the bragging rights thread...(I get the biggest kick hearing about it later.)
