I was born in 1956, so I grew up during times of great change in the US. I hitchhiked and hopped freight during the summers of my teenage years.

My wife and I have always been more nomadic than most people. I have a bit of ADD so I can't stand to stay in one place too long. We decided three years ago, 2016 that is, to give away all the furnishings and extra "stuff" we had and we bought an RV and have been wandering the country ever since.

We try and stay in free or low cost areas. I added solar panels, etc., so we can live off grid for reasonable amounts of time. Love wandering this country.

We usually come back to Wisconsin for a couple of months in the Summer to spend time with family and friends. It's during our time back that I am freed up to hit the rails, which, I have been thoroughly enjoying.
