I usually just commune with my filth until such time as I have money for the aformentioned laundromat—in the meantime, rinsing/wringing out any visible dirt in public restrooms or natural bodies of water.

But if you wanna get all DIY about it: agitate your clothes in some kind of receptacle filled with a cleaning agent (soap suds or vinegar, say), rinse well in water, wring and dry.

I packed a bar of soap just in case, might just use a creek or something to save money.

yer "experienced road dog" outta be able to answer this question for you pretty easily.

if you use bar soap to wash clothes make sure you rinse the clothing out well or youll have soap residue all over yer shit which can make you irritate yer skin.

+1.

Also it's been fairly lucrative just sitting outside a laundromat, and flying a sign . People are usually pretty willing to drop some quarters for clothes washing

For fucks sake please don't do this. It pollutes the waterways even if you have a biodegradable camping soap. Put your clothes into a plastic bag to soak and aggitate. Then dump the water into the dirt far away from a body of water. Never dump regular soap anywhere but a drain that goes to a treatment plant. Storm drains go to bodies of water. You'll be better off finding a place with a private bathroom and just use the sink. Don't destroy the environment out of laziness.

I'll second this. A bum trying to wash his clothes will make money
Usually make way way more than the measly 3.50-5$ needed for one load of laundry. Especially if you just wash and dry the shit outside in the sun, not like we all don't have plenty of time spent 'sitting around with nothing to do but watch clothes dry lol

You think? Why do you think I joined stP cause I was experienced? I wouldn't have joined if I wasn't new.

alot of new members who have joined over the years arnt new to travelling. i would just suggest using a bit of common sense when it comes to a person telling you how experienced they are without ever meeting them.

Don't take it personally. Cantcureherpes has a way of saying things that makes it sound needlessly offensive.

i didnt mean any offense, i thought i made that clear when i said that the op seeming green wasnt a bad thing. it just flags me as strange being that ive been following the op's posts and they all seem to be very basic questions with answers that have common sense answers. again, like i said i didnt mean any offense, just pointing out that some stuff is just common sense.

I didn't take it to heart man. I just wanna be sure before I leave in the morning. It's nerve wracking to be very honest, I might have sounded or was a Rick and I apologize man

I'm aware that you weren't trying to be offensive. Just try to remember that we each live in a different "reallity"; what may the most obvious common sense to you may not be so to someone else, as it seems to be the case.

Edit: Yea, anxiety can be blinding.
