One more thought I had today.
As I was thinking about cultures from different parts of the world, I stopped and looked at my life and sensed I pretty much grew up with no culture at all..

I never felt a "national identity" nor a "family identity".

Always felt belonging to somewhere /someone else.

I feel white (and not by chance my skin is white as well) as a new canvas where I am now ready to write a totally new culture, this time a right brained one, infused with ancient tribal knowledge but most important of all, infused with consciousness.

Perhaps white is the color (or better the discoloration) of a human race spoiled of all its core values, waiting to be inscribed anew.

A processed race. Like processed white rice where each individual is but a tiny grain of 100% starch which - by the way - resemble so closely the profile of today modern diets.

Civilization is dissecting people and food more and more everyday, trying to get to the "material core", thinking that by simplifyng we could get to understand ourselves and the world but by doing so, we are basically cutting out all the parts that make the whole.. and the inner essence of things slips further away from us.

If only we could see this..

I believe the reason we left the forest (the Garden of Eden) was to get conscious and exercise the "free will" to choose between "good" and "evil".
The "good" being conscious co-operation with the technology of Nature, the second being the development of a finite, primitive and deadly man_made technology.

I aim to become a true Earthling, summoning the savage spirits of my ancestors lying dormant within the cells of my body.

Blood is the true imperishable legacy to this Planet. The Vessel of our Primal Identity.

My skin will embody the essence of fire and it will be red at the sight.
It will be finally one with the soil. The same soil that hath created it.

As I said : "Perhaps white is the color (or better the discoloration) of a human race spoiled of all its core values, waiting to be inscribed anew."

I personally think red is the "original" color of man.

Because we are living far from the equator and the sun is less strong. Trying to adapt to a cold climate we are not naturally equipped for.

so my first instinct was to click on the "crazy" post icon, when I suddenly realized we don't have one. I'm going to have to fix that (clicked on 'confusing' for now).

uhm, the light skinned peoples developed in cold climates.

darker skins come from hotter climates.

I think you are angling for some kind of primitive lifestyle. giving up all the trappings of modern civilization and going into the wild alone, with nothing but your brain to survive.

is that correct?

Look, I'm not trying to be a dick here, but it does seem a bit ironic to me when primitivists are seeking other primitivists on the Internet.

I know you dont but let me tell you Matt, at this stage I am rewilding myself and using advantage of technology to share, possibly inspire others to do the same if true inner self discovery is what they are looking for.
Those primitivists who are already in Nature, you are right, I will not find them online and -to tell you the truth - I am not even sure they made it to the jungle. Probably they got lost in the urban zoo of our cities.

So I am left with theoretic primitivists, people that adhered to primitivism only with their mind but not with their first hand experience.

I am preparing to move and live with indigenous people and there will be a time when I will not use the computer anymore but I believe it is a process since nobody jumps from the couch to the pristine jungle overnight..:D

I can see how one my misinterpret your intention behind your statements however I get the picture. Are far as " feeling " that you do not have culture or family identity, this is common amongst most travlers that I have encountered.

There is plenty of culture dating back thousands of years ago pertaining to the " white " race as with any culture. Sounds like your trying to find what you feel is your identity and finding a place to belong. I get that.

If this is your path and this is what makes you happy then I think you should do it and not look back. Regardless if people do or do not understand your post I am glad you shared. I wish you nothing but the best of luck friend. Keep on keeping and stay safe. Keep us posted.

Do some research. We are European. Brought to this new land. Everyone in this land lives with no culture. Don't let these people who control the world strip you away of your traditions an culture. You just have to re learn it. There's plenty of us out here re discovering our pagan roots. Stray away from Christianity. It's evil, biggest control weapon. . Hail odin

This is quite a topic to unpack. My understanding of the word culture is that it comes from the Latin "cultus" which is often associated with religious worship. So if I understand the meaning of the word correctly, you would have several distinct cultures throughout the world organized primarily by religion. (Nested inside of cultures we would have sub-cultures and societies of course, but that's another topic.) Some people see Christians, Judea, and Islam as separate cultures, but since they all came from Judaism and have quite a lot of overlap, I tend to put them together just because I know enough about all three of the western desert sky god religions to know they all come from the same core teaching.

Moving East you would have the very old and distinct Hindu culture and it's sub cults or religions.

Buddhism (although not considered a formal religion by many scholars, but more of a natural philosophy) flourished in China and Japan after it left India. There are reasons why the natural philosophy of the western pre-Socratic philosophers may have heavily influenced Christianity was well, but that's another topic entirely.

*Fun Fact: The story of a son born of a virgin mother is told in Egyptian, Mithraism, Zoroastrianism, and at least a dozen other pre-Christian religious creation stories that I know of. There is a deep significance for this story being repeated and it goes far deeper than I can articulate, but it's a fun discussion.

Then of course you have the indigenous cultures (also known as Pagan) of the world, many of which have been found to rely heavily on acute natural reverence and the use of psychedelic mushrooms and other entheogens (a practice that was nearly erased in Meso America by the Catholic Church in the 16th and 17th centuries. I've been reading one of Paul Stamet's books and there is a picture of the last surviving Aztec stone statuettes of different animals each in mushroom form. These were among the false idols that the church wanted to destroy even though ironically enough the Catholic church itself has it's very roots tied heavily to the early use of psychedelic mushrooms. Man books from world renowned biblical scholars have been written on this subject.

I believe one of the best Western examples of a Pagan culture would be the Druids of the British Isles. I'm not an expert on any of this, so please correct my mistakes since I'm trying to go by memory on this.

Of all the worlds cultures, I think Buddhism and the Pagan cultures have the most value to mankind. Why? Because Buddhism has no set doctrine or set of rules and makes no evangelical efforts to recruit new members (of course we have 2 main sects of Buddhism, Mahayana and Zen but they are not necessarily at odds). The ideas in Buddhism are accessible and easy to understand. As for Pagan cultures, I think they are the most pure religion because there is no middle man between you and the essence of creation. In other words, there is no priest telling you he has seen God and he knows what is best for you. Rather, in a Pagan culture it would be perfectly acceptable for you to directly experience creation yourself. Call it God, Gaia, the creator, the force, or whatever you want. Direct experience is the key in Pagan religions.

So if you meet the Buddha on the road, kill him. :) That saying works in the Western culture too it seems. :)

So yeah, I think what OP is saying is that she wants to have a direct experience and cut out the middle man and all the bullshit between her and creation. Ultimately we want to feel a deep connection to creation and posses first hand evidence through direct experience that we are part of all of this in a deeply meaningful and intricate way.

Good luck with this, seriously. These indigenous people are a tribe for a reason. That reason is that they were born of that tribe, live all their lives in that tribe, and die in that tribe. Their 'surthriving' skills are closely guarded bc they have to use them to SURVIVE! If everyone knew how to do what they do it would deplete their resources.

I'm not entirely sure how this would work but I don't think you can just show up and say "I have no culture, so I'm here to live with and off of you until you teach me all of your closest held secrets". I really don't think that they'll just welcome you like you're a long lost Uncle Moe, Larry, or Curly.

WTF do I know maybe they'll welcome you with open arms. For me, the closet thing I've found to indigenous people welcoming me is the fellow travelers I meet all the time. They don't judge. I learned a shit ton about living off of others people's wasteful habits and I've been able to teach about outdoor living, camping, finding sustenance, etc. Fuckin A, that's good enough for me!!

Peace out and good luck - throw the indigenous people a knyuck, knyuck, knyuck for me when you get there.
