I’m thinking of getting a one person tent at Walmart hopefully under 30 dollars.one that I could put in my hiking bag.
Any one know a good tent to buy

I would honestly try and save up for a better tent than the $30 Walmart backpacking tent. I've heard from a few people that it isn't very durable and has problems with leaks/condensation.
I usually only use a 10x10 tarp as it's lighter than a tent and can be setup a bunch of different ways.
When there's a lot of bugs, I use my Improved Bed Net Shelter aka the Tacoma Burrow. It just pops open and is ready in less than 5 seconds.

depends on weather my friend honestly been using shelter halfs for years work great but during winter gotta use big fires to keep em warm
