Im a total hands on learner, i want to get a simple solar panel set up going. Something to plug in a radio, a fan, a tv maybe, stuff like that while in the middle of nowhere. Ive read a bunch of stuff and almost all of it is total solar panel/electrical jargon, and i have no idea wtf anyone is talkin about. Id love to learn all about them. Small, large, diy, stationary, moveable, etc.

I am hoping some people there would have a bunch of communal info that can be shared. I will construct my set up immediately with the knowledge. Figured some others might like to learn aswell. Can anyone run this?

well there's certainly a lot of people doing very simple solar panel setups in slab city, including the library that is hosting the event, so maybe @VikingAdventurer could show you what the solar setup looks like in the library? i think you'll be stoked when you see how easy it can be.

Just as a heads up, the Rubber Tramp Rendezvous in Quartzsite in January also runs a pretty nice solar workshop. Pretty cool gathering, too.

I can give folks a rundown of my setup if they'd like to do solar workshop, Andrew is still learning

I was just about to say the exact same thing. I'm not too knowledgeable about solar power systems just yet, because I haven't set one of my own up yet.

@Cornelius Vango knows a SHITLOAD more than I currently do about how to setup these systems; so far, I pretty much just know how to maintain the system that they set up for The Library.

I'm totally, 100% down to learn more, though!
