Back on the grind of commercial fishing despite several years while being on a hiatus, pretending it was retirement. [everything is relevant, nothing is absolute.]
The recent post looking for a road dog in NYC, reminded me of the time I tried to convince @croc that hopping a turnstile in the subway constituted catching out of Manhattan....He didn't buy it....
Beautiful couple days for the Atlantic Coast Line

Definitely want to bring a book next time. Any recommendations? No encyclopedias, too heavy
Ah, nothing beats a night’s rest in the desert of New Mexico. I saw an amazing view of Albuquerque last night. Now I gotta finish packing up the tent and get on with hitchhiking to Texas!

Question? I plan and only plan not official yet to ride my bicycle through Santa Fe from Lamy, NM. I plan to stay at Santa Fe for two or three days before I head north to Colorado next year. Any areas I should avoid in Santa Fe or I should say, what part of town should I avoid? I want do to some stealth camping when I'm there and want to void any rift raft ghetto area. Thanks!
I am sorry for not updating! I ended up getting back on the road for REAL, leaving downtown LA via a bus to Barstow Friday night. Since then I have hitchhiked 5 rides, explored Flagstaff AZ, and am now near Albuquerque, NM. I’ve already learned so fucking much, made countless memories, met other tramps, ridden in a truck bed on the highway, and just been fucking blessed by the Universe.
Just had 3 wisdom teeth pulled, my mouth should stop bitching all the damn time now... Pain meds? What're those
No one was pulling over in Arcata. Took a bus to Crescent City. Hoping to get to Oregon by tonight.

When I was there, I got front-followed for a good stretch by a tweaker girl on a bike; on the flip side, an attractive woman randomly pulled over and invited me to a cooking class. Crescent City: weird fuckin' town.

Lol. The pastor who gave me a ride said there are four separate camps of homeless, many of whom are tweakers, who don’t get along. She said it has the highest homeless per capita in California.
