If you get close to Augusta, GA. Anytime soon I'd could really use a ride south or west… like a bird flocking south for winter ❄ I'm looking towards warmer weather. Have plenty of conversation… thanks!
Really wish you could pick up at the va/nc border. I’d be more than willing to be a companion

Title kinda says it all. Will travel to pick up the right person, but consult a map of the USA before you respond. I post the day's route every day. If I'm in Wyoming and heading to Texas, it's a pretty safe bet I won't be picking you up in Maine and taking you to Virginia. If you aren't in a hurry, go ahead and tell me where you are, and I can probably give you the odds of me getting your way anytime soon.
In Columbia sc traveling west to Arizona have my pup Sammie on a spiritual adventure

I have no interest in cash, fuel or radios, etc. I have all those things. I offer rides to help people--not for profit. Having said that, I really can't help you. A truck is a small space, and I have a dog. I carry only one passenger at a time. Sorry.

I'm not looking for a ride, I do drive a lot. I used to drive flat-face trucks, singles, doubles. I now motor in a regular gas job small van. Wanderlust.

I spotted a comment from a driver:

"I'd rather run at night. Less 2 week wonders out there, less car traffic, better time can be made...most of the "solar powered" drivers all tucked away in their sleepers....lol the whole driving process is just more speedy at night."

"The only thing to worry about is deer when running at night."

I agree and have driven those all night trips by choice. Still do. It has become inured; favored.

I'm sure you are hamstrung by schedules but do you prefer a day or night trip?

Ahh. Camping out next to the Interstate in the NM desert. With Cinnabons, a giant Coke, and $20 kicked down to me today. I got 4 rides which got me 100 miles. And they were all amazing people... one guy gave me a business card which was about spreading love and that was so fucking positive. Then I got picked up by a really old Mexican couple. I am still so homesick, yet so happy and exhilarated
Reacquainting myself with STP after a stupid long time. Bare with me as I post in the wrong places and suck at pretty much everything here
Looks like my departure is pencilled for the 29th of April. Later then I wanted but still gives me a week of hitching to get to a place to work for the winter and a bit more time to pack and sell stuff.
Back on the grind of commercial fishing despite several years while being on a hiatus, pretending it was retirement. [everything is relevant, nothing is absolute.]

The recent post looking for a road dog in NYC, reminded me of the time I tried to convince @croc that hopping a turnstile in the subway constituted catching out of Manhattan....He didn't buy it....
AN IMPORTANT MESSAGE TO ALL MY FELLOW TRAVELERS: Please stop telling me about your bowel movements, thank you.
Beautiful couple days for the Atlantic Coast Line
Ah, nothing beats a night’s rest in the desert of New Mexico. I saw an amazing view of Albuquerque last night. Now I gotta finish packing up the tent and get on with hitchhiking to Texas!
Got a ride all the way to Portland! Will be there a few days, til Sunday at least.
Walking to North Bend. Didn’t seem to be any good hitch spots in Coos Bay.
