I'm currently researching a few countries I might go to in the next couple of months and think the forum would benefit from a little bit more structure in the destinations subforum. What I think could work well is subdividing europe, asia, south america etc. into countries. Then you could have a kind of general thread for every country and put anything worth of an own thread into the subforum of the country, like a thread for a specific city or something.
Or keep the basic structure implemented now and maybe stick threads for different countries at the top?
I am looking for infos on portugal for example, but if I put portugal in the search there come mostly posts that just state that someone is going there, looking for a road dog or something. Plus I don't find any of the threads that don't have portugal in them but are related, like threads specifically about Porto.

On the other hand I don't know how useful this approach would be, since a lot of the interesting stuff might not be in that section to start with, but in travel stories. Maybe the best would be if you could use tags for threads, so that every thread that relates to portugal for example would be tagged "portugal" and if you research a country you could just work with the tags.
Don't know how hard any of that would be to implement, but it's certainly something I am missing. I feel like there's a lot of knowledge on this boards, but when I am looking into any destinations I don't find too much.

Support StP!

Donations go towards paying our monthly server fees, adding new features to the website, and occasionally putting a burrito in Matt's mouth.

Total amount
$110.00
Goal
$100.00

Monthly Goals

  1. Paying the Bills
    $50.00 of $50.00 - reached!
The first $50 in donations go towards paying our monthly server fees and adding new features to the website. Once this goal is reached, we'll see about feeding Matt that burrito.
  2. Buy Matt a Beer
    $75.00 of $75.00 - reached!
Now that we have the bills paid for this month, let's give Matt a hearty thank you by buying him a drink for all the hard work he's done for StP. Hopefully his will help keep him from going insane after a long day of squishing website bugs.
  3. Feed Matt a Burrito
    $100.00 of $100.00 - reached!
Now that the bills are paid and Matt has a beer in his hand, how about showing him your love by rewarding all his hard work with a big fat burrito to put in his mouth. This will keep him alive while programming new features for the website.
  4. Finance the Shopping Cart
    $110.00 of $200.00
Now that the bills are paid and Matt is fed, perhaps it's time to start planning for those twilight years under the bridge... if only he had that golden shopping cart all the oogles are bragging about these days.

Fuck yeah, Tucson. Hello, 18 rack of pabst.
Barreling through the Arizona desert on an intermodal freight train, eating peanut butter with a fork. The only thing that could improve this situation would be chunky peanut butter. Other than that I have no complaints and life's pretty good.
Lost on a beach somewhere South of Tampa maybe I don't know.
Okay so imagine a band comprised of a snail, a dragon, a doggo, and a ratto called Crackhouse Crevice. You can catch the free show on an eastbound IM from Yuma.
@dumpsternavel will be making snacks with some tuna from a pouch and the crumbs of a 10 piece chicken nugget bag.
Be there or be square.
Yeah not being on the road right now is kind of a bummer, but actually having the space for a kit again is really getting that serotonin goin'

Gat dammit Yuma, and yer sparse rideables!!
Still broke as a joke in Morocco, but got a job as a director of a school, so hopefully that real adult money will start rollin in soon. There's a rainbow gathering in the desert at the end of next month. I want to go, but I need to start working and this school opens next month.

Found a good home for the beautiful cat and the boyfriend was not so nice, so it's another fresh start for me.

Discovered today that you have good taste in crevices. The decrepit old box spring really ties this space together.
