Dude I'm saying this in the nicest way possible. Smith's falls is the easiest place on earth to catch freight. If you can't get on a train their you won't make it anywhere.

Did you really check things out? Have you ever hopped a train before?

No I haven't hopped a train before. I was hoping that someone would be able to help me out with my first time.

Hey everyone! I'm looking to catch out of Smith Falls, Ontario and go west to BC. After studying the station a bit I'm having trouble finding a smart place to wait for the right train. If anyone could help me at all that would be awesome. Thanks.

Honestly you guys could be a little easier on the dude. Hopping these days aint like 30 yrs ago, the security is SAVAGE. So Im no offianado but have squatted for a decade n taken a number of trains but many yrs ago. Security is everywhere. Cameras spot you and in 5 minz a cart rides up with mall cops kindly telling you to beat it. My advice: take your time. Do recon for several nights. Most trains it seems run at night. This is good cause fukn Security. Carry a light pack. Plent yof water. Sometimes you can get asense of where a trains going by the cars, like in the NW cars with cable have lumber, so their often hugging the close to the coast but not always. Just be aware you're gonna probably fuck up now and tyhren and catch the wrong one and end up in Siberia....but it an experience, que no?

Support StP!

Donations go towards paying our monthly server fees, adding new features to the website, and occasionally putting a burrito in Matt's mouth.

Total amount
$15.00
Goal
$100.00

Monthly Goals

  1. Paying the Bills
    $15.00 of $50.00
The first $50 in donations go towards paying our monthly server fees and adding new features to the website. Once this goal is reached, we'll see about feeding Matt that burrito.
  2. Buy Matt a Beer
    $15.00 of $75.00
Now that we have the bills paid for this month, let's give Matt a hearty thank you by buying him a drink for all the hard work he's done for StP. Hopefully his will help keep him from going insane after a long day of squishing website bugs.
  3. Feed Matt a Burrito
    $15.00 of $100.00
Now that the bills are paid and Matt has a beer in his hand, how about showing him your love by rewarding all his hard work with a big fat burrito to put in his mouth. This will keep him alive while programming new features for the website.
  4. Finance the Shopping Cart
    $15.00 of $200.00
Now that the bills are paid and Matt is fed, perhaps it's time to start planning for those twilight years under the bridge... if only he had that golden shopping cart all the oogles are bragging about these days.
