Hey folks, just a general announcement to let you know that not only are the very popular StP Bandanas back, but we now have new patches ($3), pins ($2), and stickers ($4 for 10) all available! This includes the new patch/pin/sticker design mentioned here!

Check out the Etsy store here: https://squattheplanet.etsy.com!

The price of the bandanas have been reduced from $15 to $12! (plus shipping). There are only 22 available (someone already bought 2) in this batch, so get em while you can! These bandanas have one slight difference compared to the first batch; the design is printed closer to the edge, leaving only a 1/4 inch gap of blank space (the previous design was 1 1/2 inches of space).

Also, The Anarchist's Guide to Travel is now $12 instead of $15, and there are about 30 copies left, so it's a great way to get a copy if you don't like doing it through Amazon.

Of course, let me know if you have any questions!

edit: i've lowered the price of the book to $12 on amazon as well, and the kindle version to $8!

Holy fuck, shipping to scandinavia is super expensive
Yeah, shipping abroad is stupid expensive and etsy doesn't make it any easier... If you're outside the USA and want to order something, send me a message and I'll see if I can work out some way to make it cheaper!

i managed to fix international shipping so it's (relatively) less expensive. it was charging individual shipping per item (i.e. $15 shipping per item) instead of combining the shipping (i.e. $15 shipping for everything in the order), so that's fixed now.

Monthly Goals

  1. Paying the Bills
    $50.00 of $50.00 - reached!
The first $50 in donations go towards paying our monthly server fees and adding new features to the website. Once this goal is reached, we'll see about feeding Matt that burrito.
  2. Buy Matt a Beer
    $70.75 of $75.00
Now that we have the bills paid for this month, let's give Matt a hearty thank you by buying him a drink for all the hard work he's done for StP. Hopefully his will help keep him from going insane after a long day of squishing website bugs.
  3. Feed Matt a Burrito
    $70.75 of $100.00
Now that the bills are paid and Matt has a beer in his hand, how about showing him your love by rewarding all his hard work with a big fat burrito to put in his mouth. This will keep him alive while programming new features for the website.
  4. Finance the Shopping Cart
    $70.75 of $200.00
Now that the bills are paid and Matt is fed, perhaps it's time to start planning for those twilight years under the bridge... if only he had that golden shopping cart all the oogles are bragging about these days.

You say I should love myself and have more self-confidence. You've got it all wrong. I love myself plenty, and I know for a fact that I am capable of doing incredible things, both good and evil.
You say fake it till you make it. I'm too honest for that. Instead I will have faith in myself, and act accordingly.
These new rules for the train riding forum are ridiculous. I've been on here for 5 ish years.

I read your story last month about working in Alaska. I got a job in Naknek this summer. Definitely can get how it felt like jail. I fear it's really going to feel that way with this virus. We can't go into town. I'm not very happy about that since it will limit my exploring. Yet I really need the opportunity right now. Anymore advice is much appreciated.
Anyone been to Thailand or know anything about Thailand? Going in September and have absolutely no plans yet, open to suggestions!
