Okay, one of the latest videos that showed up in my YouTube news feed was a hero (in his own mind) that had multiple encounters with panhandlers that pose as homeless people. Most recently, he dealt with one that had a camper. He recorded an incident over an hour long (so it is bandwidth intensive if you're viewing this on a throttled 4G device) and showed to his subscribers educating about suspicious panhandlers and the impact it can have on the communities involved. And it can be the other way around, where Asselin could potentially expose himself as a narc/snitcher and scare away honest and legit homeless people - so situations like this can go both ways. Asselin himself is a proud resident of Iron Mountain in Michigan, if not, he hangs around there a lot. Whatever you do, make sure you do not give him any foam while he's still got the gasoline because he can light people up like napalm - whether they deserve it or not.

interesting video thanks for the post

with all the world has going on I'm not sure how begging, for an honest lack of fuel or not, would make someone so 'furious'

i could be missing a point here but this guy's dislike for these folks begging is a bit blown out of proportion

like what the hell man, don't give them any money and mind your own business. it's not like they were out there threatening people.

and he's trying to drum up a boycott for Walmart...something tells me they're going to be ok....

That shit reaction was accidental - maybe something to do with falling asleep with my tablet on in the cot...
I couldn't watch the entire video, but I tend to agree with you @rana y sapo - the guy's response is disproportionate; I imagine he may have been taken in by the ruse and when he discovered it was false, it drove him nuts. The self-styled vigilante seems to be a perennial character in American life - thinking of George Zimmerman here; then again, I've encountered it elsewhere.

OK, I watched more of the video - this guy's entire life purpose seems geared toward hassling & exposing tramps' false premises. Of course, I had to read all the comments as well. All his subscribers ought to chip in and get this crusader a cape...

coolio home skillet

me love you long time

and to keep it 1000 i have a lot of sympathy for these 'do-gooders', they want a life with purpose i just feel they are misguided

the most important issue is...Cape design....what colors and symbols are we looking at?

My observation has been most (all?) marketing/revenue schemes are based on false claims and deception - but since these are just poor panhandlers and not corporate moguls, somehow they should be exposed by Mr. Asselin; perhaps they provide the only opportunity where his 'whistleblowing' can have any result or impact...

If youre rockin a 30 thousand or 20 grand rv and dont have gas. How is some dude at walmart prolly rollin a toyota carrola going to kick you down anything? They give all panhandlers a terrible name. At least move far farrrr away from your rv and ask for some help. This is just my opinion, have some respect for the gen population. they dont have 20g and up RVs.

God says we are not supposed to pick or choose who we help. If there's a rich man asking for food. Your supposed to feed him reguardless. Who are we to deny God's children? I hate this observation of if someone has a $20,000 camper that they are being offensive. Noone knows their story. They could have had a house fire. They could of lost their jobs and had their home repocessed by defaulting on a mortgage. How bad does one have to be before it's okay to give them something? Noone is being forced if you don't believe the story move on. Simple as that. As for the man. He needs to get a life.

Support StP!

Donations go towards paying our monthly server fees, adding new features to the website, and occasionally putting a burrito in Matt's mouth.

Total amount
$0.00
Goal
$100.00

Monthly Goals

  1. Paying the Bills
    $0.00 of $50.00
The first $50 in donations go towards paying our monthly server fees and adding new features to the website. Once this goal is reached, we'll see about feeding Matt that burrito.
  2. Buy Matt a Beer
    $0.00 of $75.00
Now that we have the bills paid for this month, let's give Matt a hearty thank you by buying him a drink for all the hard work he's done for StP. Hopefully his will help keep him from going insane after a long day of squishing website bugs.
  3. Feed Matt a Burrito
    $0.00 of $100.00
Now that the bills are paid and Matt has a beer in his hand, how about showing him your love by rewarding all his hard work with a big fat burrito to put in his mouth. This will keep him alive while programming new features for the website.
  4. Finance the Shopping Cart
    $0.00 of $200.00
Now that the bills are paid and Matt is fed, perhaps it's time to start planning for those twilight years under the bridge... if only he had that golden shopping cart all the oogles are bragging about these days.

This guy with a website called "Rustic Cyberpunk", does computer stuff while living in a cabin in the woods.

You'll need a Tor browser to view his blog, though. I won't link it here because it's not a regular link, and I'm not sure if that's okay on here.
