I plan on beginning my travels soon, and I want to head west, probably all the way to California for now. I wanted to know if you guys had any tips on things like, places to avoid/places I should check out, good hitching/walking routes, easy to navigate train yards, (I have no train hopping experience and I don't plan on doing it without a knowledgeable person by my side. I imagine I could hang near a yard and meet people that know what's up.) encounters with law enforcement, and maybe just some advice you wish you had when you started up. I might end up starting alone, but I wanna pick up some road dogs along the way, so hit me up if you're interested. Any advice is appreciated, but if you could answer my core questions that would be wonderful.
