So I've been on the rails a few times before. 3 to be exact. Once from Ohio to Kentucky then back. Once from Illinois to Mississippi. And one great time from Chicago to Portland. All solo hopping. It was a great experience. I loved the freedom. But I didn't love being alone. I'm back to square one with losing another job and I just don't see the point in staying home when there's this adventure of a time waiting for me if I have the guts and determination to go get it. So I'm planning on hitting the rails once more California bound in July once my friend gets off probation. If anybody would like to join our pack we'd be thrilled to have you alongside. Looking to make friends and have fun and forget the past and move forward! Find beauty and see America. So there's my intro hope to see some of you fams out there this summer.::drinkingbuddy::

Imo 2 people riding together is plenty, I could even argue it's one person too many. I never really saw the appeal of riding 3+ deep.

Welcome to stp!
Duly noted brother. I was just thinking one more head might keep the two of us from ripping out each other's throats lmao😂 the guy I plan on going with is a good enough guy but he can get on my nerves pretty easily. Sometimes he don't know when to shut up. I do believe he'll figure it out though.

Why would you consider it a good idea to travel with him, then?

Personally I wouldn't go with anyone I can't stand to be around for long periods of time, also 3 or less is how I roll, 95% of the time solo, I like being able to just randomly switch trains, or direction, or If I'm not in a hurry just wait for another. But it is nice from time to time to meet and ride with others

Well I wasn't really a big fan of going solo. I just got so dam lonely... Yukno on them trains ain't much talking going on anyway, but I can trust him tho. He's a good guy. And it'd just be nice to roll into whatever city with someone I trust and not feel like a lurker. Jaknow? And I think we can figure out how to work together and look out for each other. I'd rather have him along than ride solo again..

Now that we have the bills paid for this month, let's give Matt a hearty thank you by buying him a drink for all the hard work he's done for StP. Hopefully his will help keep him from going insane after a long day of squishing website bugs.
  3. Feed Matt a Burrito
    $100.00 of $100.00 - reached!
Now that the bills are paid and Matt has a beer in his hand, how about showing him your love by rewarding all his hard work with a big fat burrito to put in his mouth. This will keep him alive while programming new features for the website.
  4. Finance the Shopping Cart

Now that the bills are paid and Matt is fed, perhaps it's time to start planning for those twilight years under the bridge... if only he had that golden shopping cart all the oogles are bragging about these days.

Nothing sketchy about this.

Texas is full of things that can kill me and I don't think that's great.
NOT SO FAST on heading to Chicago. I can tell it's a rough place to start over. I applied for another job in Mpls, and see how that goes in 2 weeks. If they take their time, like I don't have my own, bye. But, I'm going to give them a chance.

You ever find your road dawg? I just had mine bail on me before we even left and I'm still going, but I'm not really looking forward to being solo again. Did it before and it just kinda sucked. I can try to meet you wherever you'd want. I'm in the middle of illinois right now. Hmu if you're interested and we can chat and get to know each other before we decide if we should meet up.✌
