Just a few things I've stumbled upon on wandering around the back end of the Sunshine Coast (Qld, Australia).

Started on an old trail, closer to suburbia than it looks

Stumbled on an old rail tunnel, did a bit of research - it was built in the 1890's and been unused since 1932.

Got a little creepier when I got closer

There was some decent graffiti (and heaps of bats!) inside, but it was too dark to get a good shot. But have a hiding from the rain selfie :p

Ended up back near the highway and made it across to Wildhorse Mountain after Hell Tunnel

There was an abandoned fire watchtower up top, unfortunately my camera ran out of battery after this shot. Really need to get back up there sometime.

Not as exciting as most of the awesome photos on here, but thought I'd share regardless :)

Cheers @bystander, trying to head an old hardrive working again...so many killer shots on there.
I'll be posting more on the Oceania forum when I get a change :)

So many great spots around here, so much unspoiled nature. Love it.

Canada eh? Never been up there but it sure looks pretty- judging the country off wizehops youtube videos.

Good luck trying to recover those photos, heard it can be a real pain..

I wish there was more nature around here in wisconsin; yea yea we got shit but its been doctored up for our viewing pleasure. The real nature has been removed for roads, businesses and houses & shit.

even the damn farms are disappearing. No more productions, just consumption.

anyways,

keep posting

edit yea.. im a fuckin idiot. wrong lo-cal

heh

We have plenty of nature disappearing (being destoryed) around here...just gotta fight it and head further out and find more places. We're a fucking big island down here, there's so much more I need to see.

Plenty of "doctored" nature around here too, it's getting so easy to pick out what's fake.

Canadian adventures are next on the agenda for BIG trips.

Nice photos. Did you use a smartphone? Because I want to take pictures with my phone for weight and micro sd card. Should I do it?

I just use a smart phone, have never had the money for anything better. Anything that catches a moment and doesn't look too terrible works.

I'd love an SLR camera, but just can't justify the cash.

Use whatever you have, I've seen some great photos from old point and shoots.

Support StP!

Donations go towards paying our monthly server fees, adding new features to the website, and occasionally putting a burrito in Matt's mouth.

Total amount
$150.00
Goal
$100.00

Monthly Goals

  1. Paying the Bills
    $50.00 of $50.00 - reached!
The first $50 in donations go towards paying our monthly server fees and adding new features to the website. Once this goal is reached, we'll see about feeding Matt that burrito.
  2. Buy Matt a Beer
    $75.00 of $75.00 - reached!
Now that we have the bills paid for this month, let's give Matt a hearty thank you by buying him a drink for all the hard work he's done for StP. Hopefully his will help keep him from going insane after a long day of squishing website bugs.
  3. Feed Matt a Burrito
    $100.00 of $100.00 - reached!
Now that the bills are paid and Matt has a beer in his hand, how about showing him your love by rewarding all his hard work with a big fat burrito to put in his mouth. This will keep him alive while programming new features for the website.
  4. Finance the Shopping Cart
    $150.00 of $200.00
Now that the bills are paid and Matt is fed, perhaps it's time to start planning for those twilight years under the bridge... if only he had that golden shopping cart all the oogles are bragging about these days.
