So I'm fairly excited about the next update of our forum software (xenforo 2.1), and I decided to quickly list a few of the upcoming features that I think you'll be excited about as well.
clicking on any of those links will take you to the official xenforo update page with more information. the above features the the most relevant to most users here, but for a complete list of new features, look here.

the short version is that you'll be able to use bbcode on profiles (including adding videos/music/pics/etc), bookmarks and reactions (i.e. post ratings) are becoming a core part of the software (instead of using an addon) and will be much easier to use for those on mobile devices, and push notifcations will make StP more 'app like' in that you'll get notifications instantly sent to your phone when someone replies or tags you in a post (much like facebook). of course you'll be able to opt out of that (and it won't work on apple devices cause apple is stupid).

not sure what the ETA is, but shouldn't be more than a few weeks out since this has already been released as a beta and developers are already releasing compatible addons. if you have questions about any of these features, just let me know and i'll be happy to explain them in more detail.

Just to update anyone curious, the next version of xenforo that is bringing those features i listed in the OP is in version beta 5, so while there's no ETA on when it's going to be ready, I would expect it to come out in about another month or so.

Support StP!

Donations go towards paying our monthly server fees, adding new features to the website, and occasionally putting a burrito in Matt's mouth.

Total amount
$120.00
Goal
$100.00

Monthly Goals

  1. Paying the Bills
    $50.00 of $50.00 - reached!
The first $50 in donations go towards paying our monthly server fees and adding new features to the website. Once this goal is reached, we'll see about feeding Matt that burrito.
  2. Buy Matt a Beer
    $75.00 of $75.00 - reached!
Now that we have the bills paid for this month, let's give Matt a hearty thank you by buying him a drink for all the hard work he's done for StP. Hopefully his will help keep him from going insane after a long day of squishing website bugs.
  3. Feed Matt a Burrito
    $100.00 of $100.00 - reached!
Now that the bills are paid and Matt has a beer in his hand, how about showing him your love by rewarding all his hard work with a big fat burrito to put in his mouth. This will keep him alive while programming new features for the website.
  4. Finance the Shopping Cart
    $120.00 of $200.00
Now that the bills are paid and Matt is fed, perhaps it's time to start planning for those twilight years under the bridge... if only he had that golden shopping cart all the oogles are bragging about these days.

Fuck yeah, Tucson. Hello, 18 rack of pabst.
Barreling through the Arizona desert on an intermodal freight train, eating peanut butter with a fork. The only thing that could improve this situation would be chunky peanut butter. Other than that I have no complaints and life's pretty good.
Lost on a beach somewhere South of Tampa maybe I don't know.
Okay so imagine a band comprised of a snail, a dragon, a doggo, and a ratto called Crackhouse Crevice. You can catch the free show on an eastbound IM from Yuma.
@dumpsternavel will be making snacks with some tuna from a pouch and the crumbs of a 10 piece chicken nugget bag.
Be there or be square.
Yeah not being on the road right now is kind of a bummer, but actually having the space for a kit again is really getting that serotonin goin'

Holy shit I missed playing drums
Gat dammit Yuma, and yer sparse rideables!!
Still broke as a joke in Morocco, but got a job as a director of a school, so hopefully that real adult money will start rollin in soon. There's a rainbow gathering in the desert at the end of next month. I want to go, but I need to start working and this school opens next month.

Found a good home for the beautiful cat and the boyfriend was not so nice, so it's another fresh start for me.

Discovered today that you have good taste in crevices. The decrepit old box spring really ties this space together.
