Yeah they have a whole list of relatively minor offenses that they can use to bar entry. It's on the Internet (list of crimes) and seems to me like the list is long enough that they could have just listed the crimes that don't bar you from entry;)
Yes with all the computerization of stuff, it’s hard to know what would happen with absolute certainty, but it appears that a government issued picture ID is all that’s required for domestic flight in Canada. I’d bet you’re friend is safe flying domestically.
Interesting question for sure. I can’t imagine there would be any issues on a domestic flight since they are normally separate terminals from the international flights and security is more about no fly lists. I’m guessing it’s more important that he has a valid ID like the passport card or a...
