I've got the biolite stove so whenever I fire it up I plug in whatever I've got for music at the time. A bit slower than a wall outlet but it does the trick when you're out in the middle of fuck nowhere.
El wire is also pretty damn easy to work with too! Though I'm sure someone out there's doing it already, I'd love to see well thought out fusion of primitivist and cyber aesthetics in craft and, if possible, utility wear. Goddamn...love getting into projects! Aha
Have you been able to catch Slowdive on tour!? If you can, get yourself a ticket to a show. I cried...it was soooo beautiful. I agree with ya on Mule Variations. I always used to start the day with Pony when I was feeling down.
I agree! Otherwise the bandana seems a little dry and empty. Let's focus on picking the main highlights of course but once that is done it'd be excellent to fill out the pattern with some classic mandala/paisley bandana patterns. Looks great already though! In the transfer it'll look a little...
North Face makes great products! I have the Backtrack 50 for flying. Still looks like the day I bought it! It's not a tonne of space though. I consider myself to pack light (No more than 20lbs) and I struggle getting everything into my 60. Nice pack though and it looks comfy :)
I guess if...
Though it is tumblr, I thought it was a really well done and important read.
I’m sorry, but no you cannot & never will you be.

What is a “gypsy”?
Some will have you believe that simply moving frequently, or wearing boho-esque clothing will make you a “gypsy”. I have read countless...

So I just came back from a little hike and was able to forage three of my spring favorites: fiddleheads, chives and wild leek. Back in the kitchen cooking 'em up right now. Sautéed with some butter and they're delectable.
Made me wonder what your favorite seasonal forages are and what recipes...
On writing, I sorta have to take my time generating my material. Most of what I've been working on has been supplemental to dreaming habits which get documented and then I look back and see what I can cohesively make out of it. It works out well, as I'm looking for surreal dreamlike themes that...
This but with psilocybin, so instead of a funeral it can just be a bunch of folks trippin' out and having a grand ol' time ahah

Caught a mad fever on the road when I was heading out west last. Landed in Regina and slept on a heating vent outside of the Justice building. Made it through the night and my fever broke too aha! Got woken up by some hostile staff though who threw me off the premises. I'm like "WOAH I'M ALIVE...
Heya this is my friend's doom metal act. They're a three piece group that has six string violin, electric and upright bass and drums. They just released this epic album online and on limited edition tape if you want that extra apocalyptic lo-fi ness. They draw from european folk music, pagan...
Pick up Carl Flesch's violin method. Should be easy to find in the books section of most decent music stores. Everything you need to know to start playing violin is written in that intro and through the book. Wonderful to work with, it's german school rather than russian but the advantage of...
You're gonna want something to keep away the Black flies. Those things get crazy around this time of year. I remember passing through North Ontario last time and no matter how much bug spray I used, they would still come for you. Crawl up your clothes and all that. Peppermint keeps 'em away...
Stack that cardboard! It's also super insulating. You can also usually find those poncho style blankets at value village for relatively cheap as well. They hold a lot of heat I find and are nice to sleep on. Wool is your best friend for your top blanket. Old DND wool blankets are so comfy and...
I second Mt Shasta. Epicly beautiful free camping and hiking round there. Super easy to get rides out of as well. :) There's also tonnes of spring water spurting everywhere around there and it's lovely to drink.
Hey Tude!
We're looking for festy's we could play. Are they any around Rochester? We'd love to expand a lil' bit without straying too far from Ontario for the time being.
That's an idea! What were you using as substrate? Rice or rye? Different substrates may have different humidity release and retention points.
As I've read so far, Oyster mushrooms are very versatile though they prefer straw or grain, wood or coffee grounds. I think I'll end up using coffee...
So as spring approaches and I am evidently not going to be on the road this season, I've decided that I'd do some gardening. I've begun assembling my boxes and doing some preliminary planning. I have also been very interested in growing mushrooms; the edible kind I mean. Though some trippy...

As an addendum to this relatively dead thread. I had mine all summer and it kicked ass.
I kept some dry kindling with me just in case the mornings were moist or a rain had soaked a lot of the foliage. It was a major blessing most of the time.
It charges your devices rather slowly so you...

ahahah that's Toronto for ya...silly city.
Would Windsor be a better situation for this sort of thing? The housing situation is certainly not the same I'm sure.
Good points
Though having lived in Southern Ontario for most of my life I can definitely say that -30 conditions and insane amounts of lake effect snow (4-6ft sometimes) are not a rarity whatsoever.

It's a really tough call...In Canada there sure ain't nothing like this. Even the worst parts of our country are beyond expensive for housing.
Between everyone's travels, can you think of a place that's a blank slate, cheap, safe, widespread and that's warm close...
