Important tip for adjusting face masks

I’m not sure why the thread title was changed or if I can fix it but I really don’t think adjusting covers it; it’s about functional mask wearing in general. Fitting to the nose is important to the mask function of keeping air out (as a bonus it helps glasses not get fogged) Not touching...

Important tip for adjusting face masks

I’m probably quite late learning this but I’ve been telling people because a relative who is a physician just told me and a lot of my coworkers didn’t know either: definitely wear a (well-fit to nose) mask, but definitely raise and lower it, when you have to, by the strings NOT the front part...

What are some of the positives you've seen since Covid19 hit?

I got a job at a (small, pretty safe) grocery store and I’m starting to get to know some people around here that are about some cool organizing and not just shitty college kids. I have definitely experienced an increase of random interpersonal kindness and connection. The growing fascination...

Calm down man I’m not planning a revolution - you don’t actually know what I think-, and ok ok we all know he’s a DEMOCRATIC socialist. Pick on my grammar too why don’t ya. His policies would directly improve the conditions of poor people. Biden not really besides which, again...come the f on...

Oh Oh come on. Don’t pretend it’s about ‘Bernie bro twitter’ lmao. That’s messenger-shooting worthy of the prez. The party establishment and its wealthy donors would rather have tr*mp than a socialist. Simple as that. The fact that you can’t think of a single specific positive thing to say...

    Bernie Sanders

Only half of the delegates have been assigned. Bernie could totally catch up. Things are different than they were a month ago and there’s no reason to buy into the narrative of inevitability. And Biden can’t beat 45 in a million years. Today he came out of a week of hiding to mumble through a...

Coronavirus Should We Worry? By CHJ

No I’m not saying that. I don’t even know quite what that means. There is a lot of good information available online and I was summarizing it. The issue is not that it has a staggeringly high death rate but that it is still bad enough and spreading fast enough that a lot of people will need...

I have to contradict you. Chinese researchers found much more airborne virus in patients bathrooms leading them to conclude that the virus enters and passes the digestive tract.

is anybody picking yall hitchhikers up in the plague?

Yep, it’s a literal catastrophe. One of the few upsides may be that squatting gets way easier. Homeless people have occupied a bunch of houses in LA. Govts May start putting ppl up in hotels which are all empty now

is anybody picking yall hitchhikers up in the plague?

The virus is probably airborne so people should really not be riding in a car together unless they live together or are partners or something. I know it sounds insane but that’s where we’re at. Modernity is blowing up in all our faces and the planet is turning into a giant Petri dish. It doesn’t...

Coronavirus Should We Worry? By CHJ

Richard Dawkins - The God Delusion

Or to just throw a quick related point out there, the idea that you can look at the Bible almost anything that’s in it and say ‘this definitely means X’ is itself more the viewpoint of a fundamentalist than an informed critic - someone who appreciates how it’s a collection of texts that were...

They probably would have roamed the area terrorizing and beating up queer people (and people of color, homeless people etc etc) as has happened in the vicinity of other fascist rallies.
