oh i have plenty stories. mostly negative or crazy like this one. i have good expieriences, but for some reason only the bad ones stand out in memory, particularly because they were so bad. the good ones didnt have a big enough impact to really stay lol weird how the brain works

As for your acquaintance, if there's such a "tug-o-war" going on inside, i would get a couple beers, and tell him about your new plans, and discuss with him what he would do, and stay with him till hes at a good place with resources / help get him to that goal, whatever it may be, and then go on...
