    Un-Warranted Troubles

Yessir lockdown was in place. I was in holding for 3 days before i got sent to cypress. Very cool inmates but the homebums and guards there are very aggressive. Energy was weird in GJ for sure. Glad i got moved.

Decent sized pack for small sized people?

Probably a little late, but for all of the smaller framed travellers out there like myself (5'8" / 145 lbs) i just want to stress the drawbacks of using a larger pack. I recently used a Kelty 55L top loading pack...and let me tell you...it slowed me down considerably. Although i did get used...

My Second Go, My First Hello

Long-time lurker here. I got directed to this website after catching my first steel snake from Baton Rouge to NOLA via KCS yard. Don't know the exact name, but my hop point was South of the yard under the track overpass next to I-10. I had absolutely ZERO experience at the time, but was pretty...

    Hiya from a Newbie

Thank you! It’s going to be great I know, and the bad/uncomfortable times will probably outnumber the good but if I wanted to be comfortable I guess I would’ve stuck to a Temper Pedic ;)

    Hiya from a Newbie

22 yo male about to head out of Baton Rouge. First big destination is Atlanta where I am picking up more gear from a family friend; however since I am so close to New Orleans will probably head there first for a few days. I feel comfortable doing solo, but having a road dog would be a hell of...
