    Crazy Hobo, you can throw up a tent anywhere, but its always a good idea to create safety in numbers. A few of the camps there have been long tine established and have less issues with thievery. The library being one of them, and a few others.

    Also check out Rabbit side if youre doing a bike tour. You can find them on warmshowers... and get a safe spot to throw up a tent.

    Camping in National Parks

    Really just depends on the park. It's technically not legal to wild camp without a permit, but fuck it. One suggestion on here was spot on. Outside the majority of national parks is national Forest, which wild camping is legal on. That's usually where I post up .

    Any military veteran nomads out there?!

    I'm a disabled post 9-11 veteran. 11B, and spent years on Bradley's as a mechanized infantryman. I deployed to Iraq in 2010 and to Oman in 2011. I have been rubber tramping for about a year now. Not sure if too late but thought I'd reply.
