Anyone used one of those things (funnels, cups, whatevers) that let you pee while standing with a vagina?

For example: Amazon link
There are cheaper ones and some more expensive ones.

How're people's success rates with these things? I've just been squatting during day hikes and there's a tendency to get piss on my shoes or calves. Thinking it might be worth the money just for the convenience of having more places to piss (and being able to pass as male for safety at different times).

My partner has one that has yet to be used successfully but did manage to piss onto their own feet with a new arch from their piss stream. So that's pretty neat.

I've pretty much heard nothing but positive stuff about them, you just gotta make sure you have a good seal around yer muff and have it pointed down and out enough so you don't end up pointing a concentrated stream of wee at yerself.

I'd reccomend the extent of your investment being at a second hand store. Just buy a funnel for 25 cents.
Either way, you're gonna be packing a piss covered device..

McDonalds cups strewn around the world have a wide enough mouth to pee Into as well*

Starbucks Venti/Trenta cups are also excellent for this. I would do that when I was working at Sbux.

I have one of those 99 cent ones from amazon and it’s. janky at best. but i think it’s mostly user error. bring a ziplock bag or something plastic to keep it in so everything you own doesn’t smell like urine, cus that’s a bummer

Just bumping this thread because i have also been looking for one of these. I got no physical problems squatting, but it's always more of a pain in the ass than it would've been to just unzip and go.

Anyway, i did a bunch of research and decided to get the Pibella as my first experiment: https://pibella.com/ It looks scary small, but my thinking is if i need to take my pants down to set up one of those larger-mouthed funnels, then i might as well just squat in the first place. I'll let you guys know the report when it arrives.

Another interesting device i found is the Spouti: Home - https://myspouti.com/ It is designed so you can set it up in the morning and leave it in all day. My guess is that might be a bit more tricky to get set up, though, since it doesn't seem to have the guiding "bump" that the Pibella does.

I'm curious, for people who used an open-top device like pStyle, TinkleBelle, etc - can you easily get it in place without dropping trou? And couldn't it happen that you pee on a weird angle and then it comes out the side?

I use the Tinklebell and I can easily get it in place with my pants on my hips. I have to unzip my fly and lower my pants slightly but if you’re looking at me from the back it looks like standard guy pee pose.

So, i ended up with two different STP devices thanks to a misleading delivery notice.

I have the Pibella (arrived yesterday) and the pStyle (arrived today).

PXL_20210714_230950639.jpg

The Pibella is packaged and presented as female urination device to be used by women. Apparently it's used in some medical contexts as a replacement for a catheter. It's literally just a spout that you place over your urethra and pee through.

The pStyle is a more traditional taco shell looking thing that you cup under your vulva. They feature trans people on their website and don't mention gender-specific use anywhere on the packaging, they just call it a stand to pee device.

The Pibella has the greatest instructions ever: "insert tongue into the vagina". Since i pretty much gave up on sex, i haven't had a tongue near my vagina in a long-ass time. I almost forgot where it was. Then i peed on my pants.

Folks, you gotta get the positioning just right. The way it works is the tongue goes against the front wall of the vagina, then the rest of the opening is supposed to fall into place around your urethra. You let the labia close and it forms a seal. Six pees later (pants removed) i have had three hits and three misses. Not gonna lie, it is fucking glorious when you hit. It feels so badass to just grip this pen-shaped tube and pee your heart out. There is no problem with flow - if you get the seal just right, it takes it all.

If you get the seal just wrong, you better have good bladder control or you will soon have wet thighs.

One trick that i have found so far is that it's better to stand with your legs together than spread, which is a strange feeling. I guess having your thighs closed gives it a better seal. I actually think this one might work better with people who are carrying a little more weight than my skinny ass, just to keep it in place.

The pStyle is much harder to fit into your pants. I got it through the zipper and cupped around the vulva, but it really felt like shoving a ladle up in there. It does not make you feel like a badass pee warrior. It just makes you feel like you have a pee funnel in yer pants.

But. It worked first time. No muss, no fuss, no worry about positioning. You stand with your legs spread, just like a dude, and it makes sense because it's presumably better to have the labia spread to keep the stream centered.

So first impressions, just from the unboxing and first 24 hours, pStyle is the clear winner. However, i think if you have time to practice and get good with the Pibella, that's probably a more portable option. It's definitely more discreet.

After my experiments I only took the pStyle with me, it works well for me. I think everyone's body is a bit different so it might take some experimenting to find the right one. Camping last night in the cold/rain it was excellent to just shuffle to a nearby tree and pee without any fuss. Worth the cash for me.

that is VERY confusing, im assuming the tongue is the back part? since the urethra is in front of the vulva so thats the only way i see it making sense, which is still confusing because cupping infront of the urethra is also important, i'd personally just piss in a bottle at that point and hope that these things get better along the years ^^'

Yeah, the Pibella is strange, it's literally designed exactly the same shape as your vulva, and you stick it right up in there to form an airtight seal around the urethra. If there are any air gaps (front or back) you will pee on yourself. It's able to work even though the tongue is really small because it fits so snugly up against your body. You really need to practice a lot to get it right i think.

The pStyle is different, it's an open top so it's more like peeing into a funnel, or a cup. Even though it's more unwieldy to carry around, i found it works better for me, because you don't need to be so precise about where you put it. As long as you have an airtight connection at the back, the pee will go down the funnel no problems. It was totally worth it for me, a million times better than pulling down my pants to go in a bottle or squat behind a tree.

I have a Pstyle & Tinkerbelle. They're very similar but I like Tinkerbelle better It's softer & wipes better. Ya'll do know they're designed to fling wipe? But honestly I only use it in cities. Both are easy to use & got it right 1st try. The Pbella straw thing looked like a UTI waiting to happen & I never tried it. Mountain climbers love em but big learning curve. I also have a bottle cap bidet for cleaning👍
I've also seen women use those measuring spoons for kids medicine. They make a hole in the tube end. It's small, easy to carry in a pocket, discreet & freaked genius

That black part can fold back so makes it a little easier to carry. The bags heavy tho. I have a Dyneema carry bag

The Pstyle always makes me think of those Asian Restaurant Soup Spoons lol
