Hitchhiking Pacific Coast Highway.

Hey all, just hit Bandon last night about a 2 hours drive from Cali/Oregon border. Does anyone happen to know anything about getting oneself into campsite cabins/yurts? How often they’re checked in on and how to get inside if locked?

Not looking to make a mess or be a nuisance, but it’s raining and free shelter would be rad.

Oh, and by way of introduction; I’m Michael and haven’t hobo traveled since I was 19/20...so 8 years. That’s about it.

If so, they are already at this time of year, gonna be booked up solid. You’re traveling 1, though. If you were in more remote areas, maybe.

Why not take a tarp, tent, or bivy, and not risk an arrest/drawing unwanted attention?

Yeah, state campgrounds were what I meant. And yeah, that seems like sage advice; I’d rather not deal with forest cops right now. I’ll just find cover in the woods and hunker down there.
