Hey y'all, I'm Stephen, I am from the Foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains and was raised in the upcountry of South Carolina and western North Carolina. I have always been interested in living an unconventional but honest life. I'm a college dropout without any direction in life so I'm thinking about trying something different. I am a Baptist, a Gay man, an Anarchist and a Pacifist. I can pretty much get along with anybody. I am a very clean cut southern gentleman type, which seems like an odd candidate for this sort of thing but i'm also unconventional in everything I do and honestly super weird. I'm super new to this whole thing so I just want to see what's what. There is a word, coddiewomple which means to travel purposefully to a yet unknown destination, and that's what I'm about. Aside from the US of A the the two places I've always wanted to explore are Morocco and Patagonia. I don't have alot of survival type skills but I'm a hard worker and a quick learner. Asheville folk say hit me up. Peace out

if ya wana travel, i'd either just do it or go to ashville and find some kids and ask them what's up. may take a minute to find your first road dog (took me a month) but once ya do it it'll be a decision either you'll never regret or will wish ya never did. but ya won't find out till ya know!

Hi and welcome to STP and good intro too. From reading this I would suggest really scouring all what we have on here in our subforums on traveling - traveling, where to go, health, etc - we have had good responses from people who post introductions of that they have lurked for months and have read everything and now feel good about posting - and asking question(s) and wondering if they are doing things right - what to do next .... etc etc. Research and ask us - we are a good community.

Also look into what the internet has as well for traveling groups. I know myself as I personally enjoy urban exploration - abandoned buildings etc - I research them.

Welcome to StP, I always find it fascinating when I meet fellow anarchists with a Christian background. I was raised Jehovah Witness, and left the faith as I approached my mid 20s. I have met many Christian anarchists and ex Christians turned anarchist, and they have a different and often beautiful approach to anarchism and alternative living.

Enjoy traveling, stay happy
