I ended up hitch hiking to a friends house from Nashville Tennessee to Lawrenceburg Tennessee. Been running hard the past few months and it's time for this ole boy to rest a spell. Sorry I missed you friend. Wish you nothing but safe travels.
Have had enough of exploring the New Mexico and Texas rail ways. Time for this ole Hobo to go back east to the rail routes I call home.

Holy mother fuck. I guess the weight wasn a match for the wind and the fact it was like a big assed kite. Ive always wondered if there have been train crashes with hoppers on board in recent years. Ive never heard of that happening though. Ive heard of them literally just burying derailed trains :/

I have been on trains before where the weather has been so bad, pertaining to the wind blowing the rail cars back and forth violently however this was a like omfg moment in this video. It is a chance and risk we all take. I have actually been on that bridge before riding a junk train and I am so thankful the weather was not like that.
What once was respected, valued & appreciated has changed from the time I first stepped foot on a train 23 years ago! Miss the older days.

I've been travling between New Mexico and Texas. The weather here is crazy. One day its hot the next day there are nights that are in the teens.

The change in the weather seems to wear me out more than the actually travling at times. What neck of the woods are you from friend?

    Are you travling right now?

Aha I hear ya. Just getting into some heat after a long stint of freezing temps.I'm originally from northern Ontario in Canada. In roseville right now trying to find markal paintstiks cause I ran out. Lots of homebums smoking meth and a very burned out atmosphere to be honest but some alright jungling and nice trees.

Amtrak just keeps digging itself deeper and deeper into a hole. They seem to be in the news a lot lately!
Found a outlet behind this library. Will be able to bed here for the night with power & free WiFi. Got beer & tobacco. Life is good today!

All I can say is that many of them tried and many of them failed miserably.

Between train crashes, train employees getting terminated, attention being brought to the public about the lack of safety measures pertaining to the rail system.

Have just noticed a lot more attention as far as train companies being in the spot light and being held accountable for there misgivings.
It has been in the low 20's and teens at night here in northern Texas, The weather today has been warmer and wonderful. Good for morale

Happy Christmas eve to all the hobo's, river rats, home bums, tramps, alcoholics, junkie's, gutter punk's, hippies. Safe travels.
Finally off my crutches and broken leg is healed. Ankle still not 100%, however hope to be back on the rails within a few weeks.

I am certainly curious to find out what the major cause was pertaining to the " speed " of that train.
